printing blankets and sleeves with extra compressibility
The narrow tension groove on impression cylinders
makes it possible to use the complete printing length.
This helps reduce the amount of paper wasted. At the
same time it reduces machine vibration, allowing for
higher printing speeds. As the structure requires only
one fabric layer, the metal printing blankets are equipped
with a correspondingly enlarged compressible rubber layer.
It guarantees optimum printing results and minimizes sinking. The rubber
layer itself is permanently vulcanized onto the
metal. Even the two sleeves, CONTI AIR® VORTEX -
with or without seams - have the distinctive micro-porous
layer manufactured in accordance with the CONTI AIR®
process . They are thus capable of attaining a much more
consistently high level of compressibility than previous
printing blankets.
